Description
The Assistant Manager for Accounting is responsible for applying policies and principles (GAAP) to properly report and maintain financial data. The Assistant Manager will also support the department by preparing financial reports and training new and existing staff when needed.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Preparation of financial reporting documents for monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting.
Communicates internally and externally to obtain necessary feedback for financial reporting purposes.
Assists with overall monthly closing process, external auditor requests and assists senior management with any day to day administrative support as required.
Assists with process improvement and policies and procedures and updates documentation as necessary.
Collaborates with other departments to support overall goals and objectives.
Provides training to new and existing staff as needed.
