Description

Role Description:

Performs troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of end user computing equipment and peripheral equipment at corporate locations.
Exercise judgment with supervision within the generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions and acts as a liaison between customers, departments, and within the organization to lead problem resolution.

Essential duties and required experience:
。Provide support to users and to meet specified SLAs.
。Expert in desk side support and PC break/fix including basic administration and troubleshooting of Windows, MAC/Linux OS.
。Ability to troubleshoot issues with systems and networks using good deductive reasoning
skill and troubleshooting and resolving issues related to end user network cabling.
。Provide maintenance and configuration for mobile devices
。Install, upgrade and repair EUC equipment (desktops, laptops, monitors, and associated peripherals)
。Configure and support end users on mobile computing platforms
。Provide VIP support for equipment including desktop devices, mobile devices, display screens, video systems, docking stations, communication devices, direct attached printers, scanners, wireless networking, etc
。Provide regular, accurate, and timely feedback.
。Utilize problem management database and systems to track and report on customer calls and requests.
。Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and RDP.
。Excellent written and oral communications skills with clients and management as well as
people skills.
。Ocassionally help the remote team that manages the network devices and servers with tasks that can not be performed remotely; always following clear instructions from the administrators that manage those devices.

Required Languages:
。Native Japanese with conversational English.
or
。Non-native N1 or N2 Japanese level* with fluent English.
*Certificate not required only equivalent ability.

Location and Budget:
。Greater Tokyo
。Willing to relocate is a plus.

Contract Type:
。Mon-Fri 9-6 or shifts
。No overtime expected (if any required for an exceptional case it will be paid).
。Self employed Contractor or Business to Business relationship.
。Must have a valid visa or Japanese nationality.
。Engineers who can commit long term preferred.
