[Job Description]
We are recruiting people who are passionate about video games for our Game Localization Testing team!
The successful candidate will provide:
(L)QA/testing across all consoles and platforms, in search of linguistic and technical issues by playing the latest games from major and indie developers, already localized to your native language.
They will also be able to provide accurate game translations from Japanese to English, as well as reviewing translations of the latest games and identify mistranslations, inconsistencies, and disruptions of narrative flow found throughout.
[Minimum Requirements]
・Native Level of English
・Japanese Level N2 or above
・Basic Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint)
・Excellent communication skills in both English and Japanese
・Holder of a valid work visa residing in Osaka and its vicinity
・Extensive experience and interest in video games
[Preferred Requirements]
・Prior experience in game translation/localization, (L)QA testing and/or game development
・Experience in using translation tools, such as memoQ
・At least 1 year translation experience in the entertainment industry (Japanese→English)
・Holder of the JLPT N1
[Work Location]
Osaka City
[Working Hours]
・Business days, *10:00 - *19:00 (8 hrs. work, 1 hr. break)
*May vary depending on the project.
** The duration of a project and consistency of work will widely vary depending on the time of the year, as well as your flexibility with schedule.
***There is a slight chance of overtime work.
