Sendai Ikuei Gakuen is an International Baccalaureate World School. The school is currently seeking a qualified and professional teacher who is experienced in teaching MYP Individuals & Societies and/or Physical and Health Education teacher for a full-time contract position in the school's IB Middle Years Programme. The teacher will also be expected to model the IB philosophy and MYP pedagogy within the school.
The school will provide professional development.
Average teaching load will be approx 20 teaching blocks per week.

Additional Details:

Work week : Monday to Friday, occasional Saturday mornings required
Hours: 8:30-17:15 (40hr week)
Leave: 20 days paid leaver per year, all National holidays recognized

Key tasks
Prepare and deliver effective and appropriate units and lessons in accordance with IB standards and requirements;
Differentiate lesson material to meet all students' needs;
Use a variety of teaching methods that encourage student discussion and collaboration;
Monitor, record and assess student progress;
Abide by IB assessment criteria as outlined in Subject Guides;
Collaborate actively in subject groups.
