OFFICE AND INVENTORY ADMINISTRATOR

REME KK is a pre-owned luxury items company based in Meguro, Tokyo. It is part of a small but fast-paced and quickly growing global group of companies that specialize in export sales from Japan to companies (B2B) and individuals (B2C) in Europe and America.

We are currently recruiting a part-time Office and Inventory Administrator for our Tokyo office 2 days (8 hours per day) a week to begin with. The day-to-day activities are expected to offer quite a lot of variation and include contact both in English with overseas colleagues, but also in Japanese with local suppliers and partners, thus requiring fluency in Japanese.


Examples of Tasks (as they arise)

- Receiving and processing items, organizing them into inventory
- Authenticating and classifying incoming items
- Coordinating packing and shipping with suppliers and with overseas team members
- Preparing shipments to customers
- Coordinating and support tasks and matters, as well as inquiring and addressing inquiries from suppliers, team members and service providers
- Organizing and scanning receipts and uploading to shared folders
- Maintaining the office in general
- Requesting quotations and ordering packing materials and office supplies
- Participating in optimization and company development discussions with overseas team members and implementing improvements
- Possible visits to suppliers’ locations to confirm products and discuss with suppliers
- Occasional delivery and pickup of items for repair
- Occasional translations of English into Japanese


Guidance and instructions will be provided for all tasks. There is also plenty of opportunity to suggest and initiate improvements to the operations, thus participating in the company's development and evolution.


Working Conditions

- Part-time 2 days x 8 hours per week to begin with
- Office-based in Meguro, 5 mins walk from Toritsu Daigaku station on the Toyoko Line
- Working hours: Approximately from 10:00-18:30 (including breaks), specific days to be determined


Requirements

- At least business level Japanese
- At least business level English
- Well-organized and detail-oriented
- Likes to work in a small, but fast-paced and growing company
- Likes variation and to do many different things
- A significant plus if you have knowledge in authenticating preowned luxury goods
- A plus if you like or have any other experience in preowned luxury goods
- A plus if you like or have experience in office and inventory administration


Compensation

- ¥1,500-1,800 hour depending on skills, experience and ambition
- Transport cost
- Opportunities to convert into a full-time role and for advancement and growth as the company is in its early stages and is expanding and developing in all areas
