Assistant - Manager / Operations - Fluent Japanese language skills required.

At Park Hyatt Niseko, we have a number of different assistant - manager positions available within the hotel operations.

Fitness & Spa Assistant Manager:
Responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the Spa & Fitness Club Department within the Rooms Division. Assist with the preparation of the annual Spa Business Plan ensuring Divisional Objectives fully address business objectives of the hotel and needs of employees.
Assist with the development and implementation of member activities, special events and promotional initiatives. Greets VIP guests and potential membership clientele and conduct tours as necessary. Provide guest service support by working at the Spa Reception as needed. Performing all duties of the Guest Service Officers role as needed. Manage the department according to the established concept statement providing a courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service at all times. Ensure the facility is in peak condition at all times (operations and cleanliness). Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position required.


Rooms Division /Front Office Assistant Manager:
Responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the Front Office Department within the Rooms Division. Assist the Front Office Manager to conduct regular communications meetings and ensures that departmental briefings and meetings are effective and conducted as necessary. Handles all guest and internal customer complaints and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, following through to make sure problems are resolved satisfactorily. Ensures that all Front Office associates deliver the brand promise and provide exceptional guest service at all times. Maximizes rooms’ sales and revenues for the hotel through appropriate yield management, upselling and inventory management initiatives, working closely with the relevant Heads of Department and Front Office associates. Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position are required. 


Rooms Division / Concierge Assistant Manager:
Responsible for assisting the Chief Concierge and lead team to focus on guest requests in Front office within the Rooms Division. Ensures information on restaurants, hotel facilities and outside restaurants, shops and general information are updated periodically. Ensures that the Concierge Team is aware of current promotions, policies and other important information. Ensures that the Concierge operates with the lowest possible cost structure while also delivering on the brand promise to the guest, proactively managing costs based on key performance indicators. Assists the Chief Concierge in efficiently managing the team according to the established concept statement providing a courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service at all times. Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position are required.



Food & Beverage Division / Park Hyatt Niseko features a large variety of restaurants and bars including Italian, Chinese, Robata Japanese, Teppanyaki, Lounges & Bars and Room Service.

Assistant Manager (for each outlet):
Responsible for assisting the Manager in ensuring that Outlet is profitable and operates successfully, in accordance with the standard of the hotel. Handles all guest and internal customer complaints and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, following through to make sure problems are resolved satisfactorily. Focuses attention on improving productivity levels and the need to prudently manage utility/payroll costs within acceptable guidelines ensuring optimum deployment and energy efficiency of all equipment. Assists to ensure that Outlet is operated in line with maximizing profit while delivering on the brand promise. Manages costs proactively based on key performance indicators, works with the respective Heads of Department as appropriate. Works closely with other outlet Managers in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of hotel guests. Monitors service and food and beverage standards in Outlet. Works with the Outlet Manager, Chef de Cuisine and Sous Chef to take corrective actions where necessary. Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position are required.
