[Job Description]

We are looking for new people with a love for video games to join our Localization Quality Assurance (LQA) team!

As a localization tester, your job will be to review localized versions of the latest games from indie to AAA developers, looking for any potential linguistic or technical issues from a user’s perspective.

You will be part of a lively and open international team, working alongside people from across the globe with a shared passion for gaming!

This position serves as an excellent entry point to the world of localization. Learning to catch issues from grammar and punctuation to cultural nuance and mistranslation will serve to sharpen both your Japanese skills as well as your writing skill in your own mother tongue as you gain experience in the LQA department! A project/registration-based scheduling system allows for dynamic and flexible scheduling to fit both the needs of our testers and clients alike.

[Minimum Requirements]

-Native speaker of Indonesian, Thai, Korean, or Simplified/Traditional Chinese
-Japanese Level: Conversational (JLPT N3 level)
-Extensive experience playing video games

**Those with prior translation/LQA/testing experience are especially welcome!

-Prior experience with localization/translation/QAtesting
-High proficiency in Japanese (Ability to send and receive business emails, N1-N2 Level)
-Experience working in a Japanese environment
-Experience in the gaming/entertainment industry

[Work Location]
Tokyo: Hatsudai, Sasazuka, Asakusa
***Some projects may require working on site (client/developers’ facilities)

[Working Hours]

7-8 hour shifts on Weekdays, 10:00~19:00* (1 hr. break included)
*Shift length/start time may vary depending on the project
**Assignment based part time position. Assignments depend on the pace of our projects, time of year and tester availability. Please understand that this is not a full-time position and assignments may vary from person to person.

[Salary, Benefits]

-Hourly wage: 1,200JPY/h (Full-time advancement available depending on performance and experience)
-Commuting expenses provided up to 1,500JPY per day (Offsite assignments are fully covered)
- Employment status is negotiable for those available to work long-term.

*Visa support is not available for this starting position. A valid work visa is required for all applicants.
