Kobe Motor Company is a leading Japan-based exporter of Used and Luxury vehicles, specializing in delivering quality vehicles to around 60 international markets.

Position: Business Development Manager

Location: Japan Headquarters (Shin Yokohama)

We are seeking a highly motivated and Japanese bilingual Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team at our Japan Headquarters. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the entire operational cycle of the company, from vehicle procurement to shipment to foreign destinations.


Establish and Maintain Relationships: Cultivate and nurture relationships with vehicle transportation, freight forwarding, and shipping companies to ensure seamless operations.
Operational Efficiency: Anticipate, identify, and resolve any operational bottlenecks or issues that may arise during the transit and storage of vehicles, ensuring smooth processes from start to finish.
New Business Opportunities: Utilize your existing network and strategic thinking to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, contributing to the company's growth and expansion.
Negotiation: Proactively negotiate for space in shipping vessels, optimizing resources and ensuring timely delivery of vehicles to customers.
Workflow Efficiency: Maintain and enhance overall operational workflow efficiency, implementing best practices and streamlining processes where necessary.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Collaborate with multiple departments within the organization, involving appropriate teams to address and resolve any issues that may arise during the operational cycle.

Fluent in Japanese and English, with excellent communication skills in both languages.
Proven experience in business development, preferably within the automotive industry or logistics sector.
Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful deal-making.
Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
