【Job description】
The Application Engineer's mission is to strengthen the operations, products and business activities ofRakuten Group companies — as well as Rakuten as a whole — by planning, designing, developing, testing, debugging and implementing robust architecture and test applications.

In order to provide excellent products and services, application engineers are responsible for developing and performing high-quality operations, updating and improving existing applications, as well as creating new technologies and forms of automation.

Your tasks will be related to software development depending on your past experience and interests. Let’s discuss these in our interviews, but please understand our hiring needs change depending on each situation.

【Required skills】
・Minimum 4 years of experience in application development using one or more of - Java, C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript, Kotlin or Swift (Framework: Spring / Vue.js, React / Redux / Angular)
・Minimum 3 years of experience using Linux or/and Windows
・Experience using RDB, SQL Server
・Business-level English
・Bachelor's degree or higher

【Desired skills】
・Experience of web application development for consumers.

【Salary】
・¥4,500,000 – ¥6,500,000 per year (competitive salary based on experience)

【Work hours】
・Monday: 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
 Tuesday to Friday: 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

【Holidays】
・Saturday, Sunday and public holidays.
・10 days annual paid vacation time (increased one day each year thereafter).
・Obon and Oshogatsu paid time off each year.
・Maternity, paternity, compassionate and other special leaves.
・The total above holidays equal 126 days off per year in 2020.
