Saturday part-time English Teacher (one class once a month)

Working conditions of Athena English School

We are accepting applicants for the part time position of an experienced native English teacher, who teaches BOTH one regular adult class and one kids party.

Working place:1-12 Kamiiida-dori, Kita-ku, Nagoya
1 minute's walk from Kamiiida subway station

No transportation fee.

#The adult class/regularly on Saturday once a month

Payment for 1 lesson: 5,400JPY/40minutes

Lesson time:5:10 to 5:50 Saturday afternoon for 40 minutes.

The number of the students of the adult class is about 3.

Their ages are between the twenties and the fifties, 3 females .

The level of the students is about from lower-intermediate to upper-intermediate.

*For the adult lessons, we would NOT like the teacher to use textbooks of grammar, easy conversation, or reading materials because we think that using only those kinds of textbooks and having no fun activities is not interesting.

Also, we would NOT accept the teacher only to have a simple daily conversation with the students with no special planned activity.

Could you please bring some sample teaching plans of the activities for the adult class and show them to us in the interview ?


#The Kids Party/
on Saturday once a year, Christmas Party

Date of the Christmas Party: Saturday, December 7th,2024

Party time:3:35 to 4:55 Saturday afternoon for 80 minutes just before the regular adult class on Saturday

Meeting time: 2:35 to 3:35 Saturday afternoon for one hour just before the party on December 7th,2014

Payment for 1 party: 10,800JPY/80minutes

Payment for 1 meeting: 1,200JPY/hour

On the party day, December 7th,2024, we have 1 meeting, 1 kids party, and 1 adult lesson.

The total payment of the party day, December7th, 2024 is 17,400JPY for 3 hours.

The number of the students of the kids party is between about 2 and 8.

The students are between 8 and 17 years old.

We have the activity plan for the kids party.

The native teacher does not need to bring an activity plan for the kids party.

*For the "kids party", our first goal is that our students should have fun with a native teacher.

We need a teacher for floor activities for kids, not desk activities for kids.
