Wisebug English in Soka, Saitama Prefecture (neighboring Tokyo), is seeking a NATIVE English speaking teacher for a full-time, 5-day-a-week schedule (Tuesday to Saturday) for morning and evening classes beginning as early as December 2024. Candidates should enjoy teaching young learners and be strongly team oriented, energetic, and positive. ESL qualifications and/or experience with young learners a plus.

Wisebug has specialized in teaching young learners for over 20 years. Along with our flagship International Kindergarten, we offer lessons like our Saturday Power Program and afternoon classes ranging from Parent-and-Child to junior high level. Our programs focus on natural communication, critical thinking, and reading and writing skills and aim to create strong, confident English speakers. We also promote personal and emotional growth within a safe and fun environment.

Position Details


• Monthly salary starting from ¥260,000 (negotiable based on experience)
• Insurance: Shakaihoken (national social insurance)

• Visa sponsorship available to eligible candidates

• 2-year contract

• 45 weeks per calendar year, with fully paid vacations

• Training with ongoing support and development 



Job Overview 


• Preparation and teaching of lessons
• General English instruction that includes singing and dancing, drama and movement, arts and crafts, science, communication-based instruction, textbook-based instruction, sound ESL teaching principles and Wisebug methodology

• Joining seasonal and other special events both at the school and other locations

• Regular communication with other teaching staff
• Communication with parents
• Following Wisebug curriculum, programs, and direction from head teacher and school manager

• Applicant must be able to complete the 2-year contract
