Full-Time Native English Teacher
Company Description:
At ATLAS International School we make sure to provide education in English in a fun and engaging way for students to learn to read, write, and communicate effectively. We fully immerse the students in an English-speaking environment focusing on various school subjects and interactive activities.
Our curriculum’s integration on target phonics, vocabulary, and grammar incorporated with the subjects and activities produces students with superlative verbal and reading skills.
Throughout the year we also provide field trips and study abroad opportunities for the students to experience different cultures overseas.
We are currently looking for a Full Time Native English Teachers.
The possible programs include our, ATLAS International School, and our after-school program
Position:
ATLAS International School has elementary students that range from beginner to near-native.
After School program is for elementary students that range from beginner to intermediate and for elementary students that are near-native.
Job Description:
- Teach ATLAS International School in the mornings to afternoons
-Teach and assist them with their independent studies as they strive for receiving their American high school diploma via online
- Teach classes based on the subjects and curriculum provided by ATLAS International School to further improve their fluency (lesson plans provide)
Teach subjects such as science, social studies, math, language arts, and phonics based on our lesson plans (lesson plans are provided)
Teach and manage classes consisting of seven students max or eight to 16 students max with an assistant
Manage and guide students’ behavior in a positive and encouraging way
Salary & Benefits
-300,000 yen per month ; having a teaching licence or degree
-340,000 yen per month ; having a teaching licence or degree with 2+ years teaching experience for elementary school students in English speaking country / Month based on qualifications and experience
Location:
Gotanda
- 3-minute walk from Gotanda station
Working Hours:
- Monday-Friday 9:30-6:30 with a 1-hour lunch break (40 hours per week)
- Saturdays and Sundays off
Requirements:
- English: Native level
- Must currently reside in Japan
- 2+ years of experience teaching elementary to high school students
- Have a valid working visa
- Have a cheerful, outgoing, and an enthusiastic personality
- Hold a teaching degree or CELTA / TESOL / TEFL
- Curriculum development and lesson planning are a plus
