Job Objective: Tourist Guide in Kyoto and Tokyo
Accompany, inform, and guide tourists during their tours, providing them with information about the culture, history, and other relevant aspects of the destination, in order to create a memorable experience based on the "Amigo" experience model.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct guided tours on foot, by bus, or using other modes of transportation.
Provide detailed information, anecdotes about the history, culture, and characteristics of the places visited.
- Answer tourists' questions and offer additional recommendations.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of tourists during the tour.
- Stay updated on new developments and changes at tourist sites.
- Effectively manage tourist groups, ensuring all group members can enjoy the experience.
- Report the number of passengers aboard and stops at each location.
- Follow operational protocols for each activity.
- Request feedback from clients regarding the service.
- Report operational incidents that affect the quality of the tour.
- Explain safety protocols and regulations. This step applies when visiting unsafe destinations or those in delicate conditions, to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
- Implement the "Amigo" experience protocol during the tour.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a tourist guide or in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of the region's history, culture, and geography.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in Spanish and English. Conversational Japanese.
- The ability to speak multiple languages is a plus.
- Interpersonal skills and the ability to manage large groups.
Flexibility to work during variable hours.
