We are looking for Assistant Language Teachers (ALT) to work at public elementary and junior high schools located in the Saitama Prefecture. There are also a few positions available outside of the prefecture. Currently, we are recruiting for teachers available to start work in the new academic year starting in April 2025.
Orientation and training will be provided by our friendly staff, and you will have continuous support throughout the year if necessary. You will see a staff from management face-to-face at least once a month or every other month without having to make time to come to the office! We do our best to help newcomers get settled and ready for success.
As an ALT, you will be working in public schools as the native speaker of English, assisting Japanese teachers with English classes and activities. We are looking for friendly and dedicated individuals who are open to and aware of different ways of thinking. An interest in working with children is a must!
As an ALT, you are required to:
Be able to commit to at least one academic year
Be a native English speaker
Hold a bachelor's degree or higher
Enjoy working with children of elementary school and junior high school level
Be friendly and able to get along with Japanese people
Be able to comprehend and adapt to Japanese culture
Not required attributes but will be highly considered:
The ability to speak conversational Japanese
The ability to and willingness to drive in Japan
Holder of a professional teaching license and other ESL teaching certificates
Basic Compensation:
Monthly Salary: between 200,000 JPY – 230,000 JPY
Commutation Reimbursement: available to be reimbursed monthly on top of salary (assigned allowance varies per transportation demands and commute necessity of each position)
Work Hours: Weekdays, set hours between 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
