English teacher (English After school)

As P-kids is growing, we are looking for teachers who are high-spirited, empathic and most of all, love to be with kids.

We provide care to elementary kids in English from Grade 1 to Grade 6.
We assist them with their assignments, provide snacks and play with them.

At P-kids, lessons are taught using GrapeSEED and the Get Ahead series from Oxford University Press.
GrapeSEED has own curriculum, but don't worry, we also provide training on how to use the curriculum.
Once you get the go-signal from a senior English teacher, you will give lessons to children while using GrapeSEED's materials.

★Location
Fuchinobe, Kanagawa Prefecture.
(10mins walk from Fuchinobe station.)

★Workdays and Time (Monday to Friday)
①14:00～19:00
②10：00～19：00（Long school vacation periods）
※3-4 hours of the above time

★What We Offer
・Paid vacation after 6 months of service (based on the number of working days, etc.).

★Vacation
・Saturday/Sunday/Holidays.
※Saturday work is required about twice a year due to events.
・Year-end and New Year holidays (12/29 - 1/3).

★Main Duties and Responsibilities
・Teaching English classes.
・Ensuring students reach English goals.
・Teaching students manners, proper behavior and basic life skills.
・Actively interacting with students throughout the day.
・Prepare for and participate in events (birthday parties, Monthly Events, field trips, summer festivals, Halloween, Christmas, recitals, etc.).

★Other Duties
・Cleaning the classroom and common areas (including bathrooms).
・Preparing/wearing a proper Halloween costume to match classroom theme (each classroom decides their theme).
・Pick up children from school.

★Company Profile
Pokka Pokka Kids Club is an English language after school program.
Using GrapeSEED materials, we teach children to listen and respond, read and understand, and write in English.
We are an after-school program that emphasizes exposure to practical and usable English through fun events and other activities!
