Full-time English teacher teaching for Private Kindergarten in Kobe (expired)

We are looking for full time Native English teacher for Private Kindergarten in Kobe city, Hyogo

¥260,000-280,000 /month including 10 days of paid holidays
Full time work from 8:30AM to 4:30PM / Mon-Fri

We have been offering an English Immersion Program for children 3-6 years old. In this program, we offer bilingual education in everyday classes by Japanese and Native English-speaking teachers working together as classroom teachers.
Classes are organized with curriculum with much support from bilingual staff and well experienced advisers.

-Duties-
・ Responsible for everyday English lessons (per lesson are for 45-50mins on average)
・ English nurturing inside the classroom
・ Daily communication with the children attending daily activities
・ Matters in the class (eating lunch, getting changed, going bathroom and other daily matters)
・ School events


-Working conditions-
AM 8:30 – PM 16:30 (8 hours) / Monday – Friday (a few Saturdays and Sundays depending on school events)
Being responsible for children 3-6 years old (around 20 children in a class)

AM8:30 – PM 9:00
・Preparation for the day.
AM9:00 – PM 3:00
・Work as a classroom teacher in a class (team teaching with a Japanese teacher)
・Provide classroom English lessons per day (phonics, songs, chants workbooks and so on, curriculums are provided)
・Other activities (crafts, songs, prepare for the events, free play and so on)
・Help children as a classroom teacher (eating lunch, getting changed, going to bathroom and other daily matters)

AM9:00-10:30 Children start coming to kindergarten
AM10:30- Morning meeting
AM10:45- English lessons
PM0:00- Lunch time
PM1:00- Playing outside
PM2:00- Activities (songs, crafts, Japanese lessons and so on)
Goodbye meeting
PM2:30- Children start going home

PM3:00 – PM 4:30
・After children going home, prepare for tomorrow’s lesson and (sometimes school events)
・Daily report
・Meeting with other teachers etc.


-Holiday-
1, Weekends and National holidays
for a few Saturdays and Sundays, you might have to attend school events.

2, Annual seasonal holiday (Depending on school calendar)

3, Paid holiday (10 days per year/ provided after working for six months)

-Payment-
3,120,000-3,360,000 yen / year (12 months division, before deductions)
Tax and social welfare will be deducted
Transportation fee provided

-Contract period-
April 2025 to March 2026 (may continue for 3 years)

We are looking for Native English teachers having
・Daily communication skill in Japanese
・Good at working as a team (you will be working with Japanese teachers as well)
・Teaching experience
・At least 1-year valid VISA in 2025
