Maple Eikaiwa is accepting applications for a (semi) full-time experienced EFL teacher to teach children. Children's classes include 'Mommy and Me' Rhythmic classes for children ages 1-2 years olds, Kinder classes ages 3~5 years old (these classes often have a Japanese assistant), Elementary age children (with a strong focus on phonics) and Teens.
We are looking for a career-oriented teacher with a minimum of 3 years' teaching experience in Japan who holds a university degree. Candidates holding EFL or similar related qualification and with a communicative level of Japanese would also be looked upon favorably. Successful applicant must have a "can do" attitude, be energetic, organized, flexible, positive, professional and above all must have a genuine love of teaching. On-the-job training, materials and planning provided.
Monday ~ Saturday with a maximum of 30 fixed teaching hours per week, 220,000 ~ 240,000yen month starting wage (6 days/wk). Monday ~ Saturday, 3 days 9:30 ~ 6:30, 2 days 3:30~8:00 a total of around 30 hours teaching per week (Sundays off). Travel expenses paid up to 400yen per day. 4 weeks paid holiday a year. Applicant must hold a valid work visa for Japan and be a native speaker of English. We offer visa sponsorship. Applicant must currently reside in Japan. Employment is on a one-year contract basis, with the possibility of renewal upon agreement by both parties.
We are a Canadian-run school and we place a strong emphasis on motivating people to learn English in a fun and interesting way. We are a medium-sized school with a very relaxed atmosphere. We have 2 schools and are currently looking for someone to teach at out Inzai branch in Inzai City, roughy 20 minutes walk from Chiba New Town Chuo Station.
