Full-time Japanese Homeroom Teacher and Support staff (Starting April 2025) of Osaka YMCA International Kindergarten

The Osaka YMCA International Kindergarten (OYIK) is looking for an experienced, proactive, conscientious Japanese Homeroom teacher with a passion to learn and engage children in OYIK’s play based inquiry methodology. This position requires a teacher to be highly responsible and organized inside and outside of the classroom.

Requirements:
(1)Fluent in both Japanese and English.
(2)Hoikushi (Japanese nursery teacher certification) preferred
(3) College degree (専門学校卒） or Bachelor's degree or above,
(4) More than 2 years of experience in a kindergarten environment preferred
(5) Able to start from April 1st, 2025　and work at least until the end of March 2026.
(6) Energetic and physically-fit as this position requires lots of movement

Working Condition:
◆ Job type: Full-time and Contract
◆ Title of the job: Homeroom Teacher/ Support teacher
1) Responsible for one class (ages 2-5 and 20 students per class) with the English teacher
2) Teacher for a whole academic year

◆ Duties of Homeroom Teacher:
1. Plan and deliver lessons with the English Homeroom Teacher
2. Organize monthly programs/events
3. Assist in fitness programs (e.g. swimming and gym)
4. Communicating with parents/office staff/teachers
5. Writing progress reports
6. Cleaning and maintaining classroom
7. Participating in meetings

◆ Contract Period:
1) One Academic Year (2025.4.1～2026.3.31）
2) Contract period is renewable on year-to-year basis.

◆ Working days and hours:
Monday - Friday
8-hour shift between 8:00 am - 6:30 pm with one hour for lunch included.
Occasional Saturdays or Sundays for special events
(make-up day or overtime will be provided)

◆ Venue: YMCA International Kindergarten either Tennoji or Tosabori
Tennoji: 7min walk from Tennoji station (JR, Subway Midosuji or Tanimachi Line)
Tosabori: 7min walk from Higobashi station (Subway Yotsubashi Line)

◆ Remuneration:
1) Salary: Monthly Salary - From 260,000 -300,000 yen
(Depending upon your experience, qualifications, ability)
2) Transportation is fully covered.

◆Health Insurance/Pension Plan (the Promotion and Mutual Aid Corporation for Private Schools of Japan) and employment Insurance is covered.

We are looking for a Japanese Support teacher who can assist HRTs in class and help the children develop their own learning by talking to them and asking them questions. The job also includes cleaning, preparing lunch and snacks , and escorting them to their optional programs

◆Requirements:
(1)Fluent in both Japanese and English.
(2)Hoikushi (Japanese nursery teacher certification) preferred
(3)Experience teaching 2-5 year olds
(4)Able to start from April 1st, 2025 and able to work at least until the end of March 2026.

Native English speaker.
Bachelor’s degree or higher (preferably in Education)
Experience teaching 2-5 year olds
Able to start from April 1st, 2025

Working Days and hours
Monday - Friday
9:00 - 17:00 with one hour for lunch included.
Occasional Saturdays or Sundays for special events
(make-up day or overtime will be provided)

Salary will vary depending on qualifications and years of experience. Minimum salary is 1)260,000 per month.
2) Transportation is fully covered.

B:Floating support for all the classes

Requirements:
Fluent in both Japanese and English.

Experience teaching 2-5 year olds
