◾️OVERVIEW

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Social Media Marketing Assistant to join the Marketing/Content team at GPlusMedia.

In this role, you will play a key part in taking our social media to the next level. If you live, eat and breathe social media, love to be in front of the camera and have the ability to research and understand what our audience wants to see, this position offers an exciting opportunity for you to prove yourself in a collaborative but fast-paced environment.

GPlusMedia produces Japan’s most-used English-language information and news sites, including GaijinPot, GaijinPot Jobs, Japan Today, Real Estate Japan and Savvy Tokyo.

You will be working under the direction of the Marketing Manager to support our marketing efforts including content creation, social media management, advertising, analytics monitoring and reporting.

◾️KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in research, analysis, and ideation for social media content
Shoot and appear in social media videos
Write engaging social media and advertising copy
Help to grow SNS channels in line with our marketing objectives
Create analytics reports and make recommendations
Assist in client services projects
Collaborate with the team to ideate and innovate ways to reach and grow our audiences.

◾️BASIC REQUIREMENTS

– Passionate about social media and SNS trends
– Comfortable in front of the camera
– Experience editing video for IG, TikTok
– Thrive in a fast-paced but collaborative environment
– Think both creatively and analytically
– Self-motivated, can work independently and want to take initiative
– Results oriented
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Want to help foreigners live, work and study in Japan
– Native-level English, conversational Japanese (N3 or equivalent))

◾️WHAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUT

– 1+ years experience in a professional digital marketing role with demonstrated track record of growing IG, TikTok or YouTube channels
– Have examples of reels, shorts, or TikToks with 20,000+ views
– Have lived in Japan for at least a year
– Familiarity with Google Analytics 4 (GA4) or other marketing analytics platform
– Native English, business-level Japanese (N2)
– Candidates with some experience in any of the following areas are preferred.
・Canva
・Capcut
・Reddit
・Google Ads
・Facebook Ads

◾️Conditions:

- Salary: ¥250,000 per month
- Visa sponsorship available
- Full time
Language: Native English, conversational Japanese

◾️Work Hours and Holidays

- Work Hours: 5 days a week, 7.5 hours per day (Monday to Friday)
- Flex-time: Flexible working hours with core time from 10:00 to 15:00
- Hybrid Work: Combination of remote and in-office work
- Holidays: Weekends and public holidays off, plus additional leave such as birthday leave, Christmas leave, and annual paid leave

Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo

- 10 minutes walk from Akihabara station on JR line
Or 1 minute walk from Suehiro-Cho station on Tokyo Metro Ginza Line
