Operations Manager with a global company providing world-class entertainment.
The Operations Manager leads a team of 25-30 highly-skilled professionals who provide a thrilling and exhilarating show to live audiences 365 days a year.
As the Operations Manager you are the leader of the Operations Team and ultimately responsible for the venue. You will oversee all administrative functions such as payroll, workers compensation claims, budgeting, and operations staff approvals. You will regularly collaborate with the Creative Manager, hosting weekly staff meetings, managing rehearsal logistics, and driving objectives. Additionally, you will work with senior leadership to continually develop your direct reports through coaching, feedback, and encouragement.
The candidate must be/have:
- Fluent written and spoken Japanese & English
- Experience as a Manager
- Experience in the Operations role.
- Comfortable with consecutive interpreting at business meetings and translation of e-mails and other in-house work-related documents
- Strong organizational, time management, negotiation, and diplomatic skills
- Ability to liaise between Western and Japanese cultures
- Basic computer literacy
The candidate should be/have:
- Experience living/working overseas (for native Japanese candidates) or experience working at a Japanese company (for non-Japanese candidates)
- Experience in the entertainment industry
- Experience leading a team
Working conditions:
- Hours vary, but generally from 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
- Office is located in Konohana-ku, Osaka
- ¥350,000 - ¥450,000 monthly salary dependent upon experience
- Commuting allowance
- Full social insurance enrollment.
