Oakwood Tokyo International School is a growing nursery and preschool located in the outskirts of Central Tokyo. Our school is growing and we are adding another bus route. We are looking for a nursery/preschool assistant who can also ride one of our routes 2 times daily.
Working Conditions:
Work in Nakamachi, Setagaya, Tokyo at our nursery, preschool, and kindergarten.
Pay ranges from 240,000 JPY/month to 270,000 JPY/month for this position.
Hours are an 8 hour shift either 7am - 4pm, 8am - 5pm, or 9am - 6pm each with an hour lunch break.
Responsibilities include:
-caring for children ages 10 months to 7 years with love and care.
-maintaining communications with parents.
-collaborating with a team of international teachers and assistants and administrators
-riding the bus/car to pick up and drop off children on one of our routes.
-engaging in professional development yearly.
-assisting lead teachers in all of their duties.
The ideal candidate for this position:
-already has a residence status that allows for full time work (humanities visa, spouse visa, etc.) (note - instructor visa not eligible)
-is a native or near-native English speaker.
-does not mind long car rides in the city.
-is willing to live close to our school.
-loves children and works well with people.
-has a positive attitude and is outgoing.
Our full time positions are 40 hours per week. We allow for overtime. There are 4 full paid weeks off per year. On top of Japanese legally mandated PTO system, we also allow for 3 paid sick days from your start date. Yearly bonus for employees who have been with us for 10 months or more.
